Semmelweis Professor Doris Wilflingseder supported the new edition of “Tierprofi – Versuchstiere” as a scientific advisor. Published by “Tierschutz macht Schule,” the association for evidence-based animal welfare education, the booklet helps students grasp the complex topic of animal testing, guided by the comic character Rita 3R. It covers the 3Rs, products tested on animals, and alternatives, features an English interview on improved husbandry in pharma plus a vocabulary worksheet, and presents Austrian champions of animal-free research. A role-play explores barriers to alternatives and solutions. Usable across biology, ethics/religion, English, German, and chemistry. Coming soon.
