Workshop on Viral Vectors for Gene Therapy and Vaccination 2026 in Innsbruck

๏ปฟFrom 25 โ€“ 27 November 2026, the Study Group โ€œViral Vectors for Gene Therapy and Vaccinationโ€ of the Society of Virology (GFV) will hold its annual workshop in Innsbruck, Austria.

The workshop will connect young scientists with leading experts across the full spectrum of viral vector research, from basic science to clinical application and regulatory perspectives. Topics will include viral vector approaches for vaccination against cancer and infectious diseases, as well as virotherapy and gene therapy.

This yearโ€™s keynote speakers are Florian Krammer from the Ignaz Semmelweis Institute and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, Asisa Volz from TiHo Hannover, and Patrik Erlman from Boehringer Ingelheim.

The workshop will take place at the Grillhof above Igls, surrounded by forests and the Tyrolean mountain landscape.
