On 15 April, we welcomed Marylyn Addo as a speaker of the Semmelweis Seminar Series in Linz. Her talk, “From Innovation to Impact: MVA Vaccines in Viral Disease Prevention and Therapy,” provided valuable insights into the use of Modified Vaccinia Virus Ankara (MVA) as a versatile vaccine platform for emerging infectious diseases and chronic viral infections, including recent clinical advances targeting Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS) and hepatitis B virus (HBV).
